Pallet Rack (Selective Rack) is the most common and popular solution for warehouse storage across the county. Selective Rack is the most cost effective storage solution per pallet position yet are still engineered and built to accommodate every storage need. UMH carries all different brands of Pallet Rack: Sammons, Mecalux and Teardrop to name a few. These Pallet Racks do not require bolts or fasteners and are quickly and efficiently assembled due to their simple design. We offer several different depths, heights and capacities of Uprights. Structural Rack is another popular choice and commonly used storage solution for warehousing particularly in high rise rack-supported buildings and for designs that require heavier storage capacities and impact resistance. Structural Rack is known for its intense durability and is built to withstand tough environments, such as cold storage and distribution facilities. The load beams in a Structural system are bolted to the Upright, enabling the system to withstand more weight. UMH can provide you with 3”, 4” or 5” Structural Channel.

Drive In/Drive Thru Rack is used for high density storage and is typically used for storage of the same SKU or like products. Drive In/Drive Thru Rack offers better cube utilization than Selective Pallet Rack. Safety accessories offered to help the life span of Drive In/Drive Thru Rack include: Column Protectors, Reinforcement Posts and larger Base Plates.

Pallet Flow Rack is best utilized for first in first out (FIFO) inventory storage. Product is loaded on one side of the system and flows forward where the product will be pulled from. Flow Racking is essential to help manage your time sensitive and perishable items. UMH can custom design your pallet flow system to meet your load and system requirements.

Push Back Rack is best utilized for last in first (LIFO) inventory storage. Product is loaded on the front side of the system and is pushed back, UMH offers Push Back systems in 2 to 5 deep pallet applications. The system is designed for pallets to be stored on a cart system with inclined rails. When items on the first pallet are removed, subsequently the pallets behind gently roll forward to the front of the rack.

Cantilever Rack is commonly used to organize and store bulk items such as lumber, pipe, drywall, sheet metal and other warehousing items. Cantilever Racking comes in single sided and double sided. UMH offers Cantilever Rack from light to heavy duty applications.

Pallet Rack Accessories are a great way to help utilize your storage needs. UMH offers the following accessories for your warehousing systems:

 - Wire Decking (Wire Mesh Decks) are used as a safety measure to store items or pallets from falling through the racking structures. UMH offers a wide array of sizes and types of wire decks – waterfall, universal, flush mounted and reverse waterfall. UMH provides new and used wire decking.

 - Row Spacers are used for back to back Pallet Rack systems to ensure the rows are straight and are mounted between the columns of the Upright Frames.

 - Column Protectors are used as safety measures to help minimize damage to the racking by forklifts. Forklift damage to frames can be dangerous because it weaken the durability of the rack. Column Protection can help reduce the need to repair or replace uprights in your warehouse system.

 - Cross Bars or Pallet Supports are an alternative to wire decking or no support at all. Cross Bars come in wood or metal form, they sit across the depth of the rack and help support any pallet or item sitting on the storage system.
