UMH recently completed a large-scale storage system installation for a global logistics organization operating a 1,000,000 sq. ft. distribution facility. The end-user – one of the world’s leading e-commerce companies – required a high-density racking solution that could support rapid throughput, strict safety standards, and evolving operational demands.

The project involved designing, engineering, and installing a system tailored to the customer’s workflow, with an emphasis on durability, accuracy, and long-term performance.

Customer Background

The customer is a worldwide logistics provider responsible for managing high-volume fulfillment and distribution for major retailers. Their network handles complex inbound and outbound operations, demanding storage systems that can scale with demand, maintain product integrity, and maximize space utilization.


Project Scope

UMH partnered with the customer to deliver a fully integrated racking solution across the facility’s 1,000,000 sq. ft. footprint. The scope included:

  • Engineering a layout optimized for space, travel paths, and pick efficiency

  • Supplying high-density pallet racking designed for high-velocity operations

  • Coordinating installation crews and project scheduling

  • Ensuring full compliance with safety, permitting, and load-bearing requirements

  • Completing in-field adjustments to match operational workflows and onsite needs
